GPUS is a partner with the European Federation of Green Parties and the Federation of Green Parties of the Americas.

The Illinois Green Party (ILGP) is one of those federated, GPUS-affiliated, state Green parties.
The ILGP was founded in 2001.
The ILGP sends delegates to GPUS conventions, and its members serve on GPUS committees.
